MY STORY
I've been blessed with type 1 Diabetes since the age of 9, ever since my whole life has been a roller coaster of up's and downs's. I'm slowly learning that Diabetes is a blessing. 2018 Changed my life for the better and I want to share my struggles with others battling with the same condition and to inspire their friends and family to become more aware. FREESTYLE LIBRE 14 DAY SYSTEM
The FreeStyle Libre comes in 2 options, a 10 day system and a upgraded 14 day system. The round white sensor has flexible filament inserted just under the skin to measure blood sugar levels every minute! The small handheld reader scans the sensor without having to prick your finger.
This meter has changed my life, going from checking my sugar 3 or 4 times a day to now checking it painlessly around 8 - 10 times a day!
One of the most useful features for me was simply the ease of not having to carry around a meter along with test strips and the lancet. Being able to check my sugar in public in only seconds and not drawing attention to me was amazing in itself!
